Exposition: The main character is a 7 year old boy named Josh who lives in Florida and hides in his house that's burning down.
Inciting Incident: He's left alone while his parents who forgot to turn off the stove quickly go to get groceries.
Rising Action: Josh notices that the stove is on and tries to pour any liquids he can find on it to turn it off, however that only makes things worse.
Climax: Scared of what will happen, he goes and hides under his parents bed upstairs while the kitchen is slowly catching on fire.
Falling Action: Josh starts crying and screaming for help once he sees smoke coming his way, then blacks out.
Resolution: His parents barge into the house, luckily make it upstairs through all the flames, and find Josh passed on the floor next to their bed.
The idea is exciting and sounds interesting, except it doesn't have a lot of depth and background info. It's a good short story, but I suggest giving Josh good detail and background. Also, maybe add something more to the resolution.
ReplyDeleteI liked the story plot but I don't understand why Josh would stay in a burning house.
ReplyDeleteSounds very interesting, but like Berhana says i dont know why josh would stay inside.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with Berhana but i think this story will interesting to write and will have a good a lot of interesting details.
ReplyDeleteIt would be cool if you wrote from the perspective of a 7 year old boy who has no idea what to do in the situation, like him trying to remember what hes seen in movies about fires or what he learned at school like stop drop and roll, and then him realizing it's not going to work.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting story and hope to read more of it to see what happens to Josh. I agree with everyone else why would Josh stay in a burning house.
ReplyDeleteI like how the story takes place in basically one setting. Add more detail to the character of the child.
ReplyDeleteTry to add more detail or have a more meaningful plot because it's kind of an elementary story.
