Exposition: An Italian boy named Angelo growing up in San Francisco in the 1980's with his mother and father. Story takes place at different points in his life. Written as a 1st person narrative. Doesn't follow Freytags Pyramid of Plot Structure
The story starts off with Angelo telling the reader about his family history and how he feels about growing up in busy San Francisco. He goes through interesting experiences growing up. He talks about each and every experience in detail and is very analytical. One part of the story he finds him self trapped on the Bay Bridge during the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. The story jumps around a lot and manages to explain much of his early life up until he is around 16 or 17 when the story ends.
A) I liked the stories background and I think your going in a good direction.

Your story is really interesting and it seems like you have a lot to talk about. It's really nice how you incorporate different points of bay area history into your story. It may be easier to write though if you used Freytags Pyramid.
ReplyDeletewhen I first read "An Italian boy named Angelo growing up in San Francisco in the 1980's " I knew it was going to be about the 1989 disaster earthquake. Which I think is a great plat to the story
