Ben Velasquez Proposal

Elements of Exposition: Jason Staten, 22, Lives in Berkeley but is camping in rural Virginia in deep wilderness. No girlfriend, Mom and Dad are still alive. Jason wants to explore the wilderness.

Inciting Incident: Jason almost gets lost on a trail from one camp site to another, but finds his way back. Very close call.

Rising Action: Trails start to get less visible and Jasons mind is starting to play tricks on him. Jasons map also falls out of his backpack.

Climax: Jason is lost in the wilderness with only his backpack with limited supplies. He cant find food, water or shelter and there is no communication to the outside world. Jason doest know what to do in the situation so he panics which makes him more lost.

Falling Action: After one long and hard night in the wilderness Jason is prepared to survive and starts to build shelter, catch food and clean water to stay alive. Jason must figure out how to get rescued and fast because winter is right around the corner

Resolution: After 6 long days he is rescued.

  2. I like the idea of your story and how it has to do with survival and mystery. It makes you wonder wether or not he will be rescued. I agree with Carl you should make the resolution more in depth, but I really like it.
