Exposition: Main character, Eva is 16 years old and lives in Ashland, Oregon and does not get along with her mother.
Inciting Incident: She gets in a argument with her mother and her step-father intervenes and threatens to hit her if she does not obey her mother and show her respect.
Rising Action: Eva calls the cops, but they ignore her concerns and her mother punishes her for calling.
Climax: Without her mother's support, Eva decides to leave and live with her father in Santa Cruz, California.
Falling Action: Her father shares with her some stories from her mothers past.
Resolution: She is given some closure and realizes why her mother has always treated her unfairly.
Your story seems very realistic, and I love that. Even now, I want to read the whole story and figure out what they talk about in her mothers past. What sort of argument did her and her mom get into? Does Eva have any siblings that also don't get along with her mom?
