Exposition: There was a girl named Anastasia who lived in Los Angeles, California. She was 19 years old and the last time she saw her mother was when she was 3.
Inciting Incident: She asked her father what happened to her mother and why wasn't she around. He tells her that she left 3 years after she was born with no explanation.
Rising Action: Anastasia was determined to meet her mother and ask why she left. She walks around asking people and visiting old place trying to find out where her mother is.
Climax: She finds this old homeless lady who says Anastasia's mom is living in a small apartment by the beach. She finds her mother there.
Falling Action: They finally have the conversation she has wanted.
Resolution: Anastasia reunites with her mom and continues talking with her and they try to build a good mother-daughter relationship.
sounds like an interesting story but maybe been done already, you could add a special twist to make it original like her mom is mental or depressed or a mermaid.
